We have been homeowners since 2019. My partner works in the technology field and comes from a family of mechanics. He loves smart gadgets to the extent that our house has become a SMART home. I want to share to you the smart products in our home that makes living at home so easy!
Amazon Alexa - This a must in our home. She is the hub to connect to all of our smart gadgets. We use her to play music, as a timer, turn off light switches, lock our doors or alart us if there is any motion or someone is at the front door.
Wemo Light Switches - This does required hard wire electrical. You are able to tell Alexa to turn on/off the lightening in your house. Living in a bigger size home can be scary at night, but before I go down stairs, I tell her to turn on the lights in my kitchen or living room. It makes things so more convinent when you forget to turn off a light switch. You can also access your light switches through their app.
August Lock - The August smart lock is a battery power door lock which is connected through your phone via bluetooth. If you forget your keys you can open or close the door through their app. You can allow your guest access to your home anytime from the app without having to give them a physical key. After shutting the door, the lock with close and lock itself.
Ring Camera - Worrying about safety is important, especially when you have kids. With a smart camera you don't have to open the door, but just peak and speak to the person through the app and have the option of a recorded video of any suspecious activity.
Ecobee Theormostat - This is a smart theromostat, which allows you to change the temperture in your home through their app. The updated version does have a built in Amazon Alexa which allows you to tell her to lower or raise the temperture.
